Altered Art Dictionary..... It's addictive !!!

I joined a group on facebook last week where you take a dictionary and alter it by picking a word and illustrating that word using stamping, paint effects, etc, You then share your pages with the rest of the group. It's quickly become my new passion and I can't put it down! lol.
I thought I'd share just a few of my pages with you all.

This was my first page and I created it using Splodgeaway's FAB fairy stenscape mask and various distress inks. The word it illustrates is ' Sillouette'

This page is 'Childhood which I made using distress inks and my Splodgeaway mat to get great blending! The images are from a Joanna Sheen set thats now sadly retired :(

This page is 'Together' I, again, used distress inks with my splodgeaway mat and used sequin waste to produce the tiny heart background.I'd made a heart shaped mask and masked off the middle first ready for the image which was from papermania I think! I just used coloured pencils on my image as promarkers, etc bleed through to the next page :(

Well these are just a few to give you a taste (I've got loads more already!) Why not have a look, maybe join the group yourself - It's a closed group but you can send a request to join. It's such fun and there's loads of inspiration. The link is http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/316410781786908/.

Splodgey create and craft

Mr Splodgeaway was on create and craft again last week and had a fab show. Hope you managed to catch it. Thought over the next few days I'd show you some of my design team samples I made for that show. The first one I want to show you is one that caused quite a bit of laughter.......... an 'on your divorce' card!

I used Tom's Fab new wording masks and the fancy lattice mask. The image stamp was one I've had for ages - can't remember the make and the sentiment was one I saw on facebook some time ago and stored it away! Just the thing for this card lol!
Anyway why not pop over to http://splodgeaway.blogspot.co.uk/ and have a look at the rest of the DT cards - loads of inspiration!
Thanx for stopping by. Hugz xxxxxx

SURPRISE !!!!!

Bo and Bea are partying this week!

The challenge at http://teddybochallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ this time is  'birthdays'. I made this birthday parcel with Teddy Bo n his friends breaking out of the prezzie using the christmas baubles set.

I glued 2 pieces of 6x6 paper together back to back to create double sided paper before adding the ribbon bow and cutting the appertures out. Once they were adhered in place and fixed to the front of the card I coloured my digistamps with promarkers, cut around them and glued them inside the appertures. I made the 2 tags and stamped the sentiment, added a peeloff and attached them to the parcel. I went around the edge of the parcel with stickles to give some definition and added a matching ribbon bow to finish.

A closer look at Teddy Bea image - sooooo sweet ! Thanx for looking. Hugz xxxxxx

Canary Love Tag

This is an image from Saturated Canary. I recently saw these FAB digi images on a friends blog. You can find her  designs at http://craftyshell.blogspot.co.uk/. She's sooo talented! She's got me hooked on the saturated Canary images. They are all sooooo cute! I coloured the image in with my promarkers and although its not perfect I'm really pleased at how it's turned out as it was my first attempt at colouring these images! I made this card for the challenge over at http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/challenge-150-tag-it.html where the challenge this week is 'tag it'.I made a 'patchwork' background and used some spellbinders dies for the lacey effect, added loads of co ordinating ribbon and a cute sentiment (not sure where thats from). Can't wait to get cracking on some more Saturated Canary images but it's bedtime now so I'll have to leave it till the morning :(
Happy crafting and thanx for stopping by. Hugz, Jayne xxxxx

Kitty goes Goth!

At Kenny K's krafty krew this week the challenge is Going Gothic! I used the FAB Kitty Katastrophe image and coloured her in typical goth colours using promarkers. Touches of dull bronze foiling finished it off nicely. The patterned background paper is from Debbi Moore and I used a Spellbinders
lace die to make the lacey black mat behind her. I added the wings using a digistamp fromWonderland designs - very steampunky but went well with Kitty! Pop over to http://kennykskraftykrew.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/challenge-126-going-gothic.html and see what the fab DT have come up with.

The New Splodgeaway Challenge ( no. 4)

Over at http://splodgeaway.blogspot.co.uk/ the theme for this month's challenge is new beginnings. It can be new home, new baby, new anything but as I am a new nanna I went for the new baby theme and this is my DT card - fairly simple layout  but really gave a delicate, 'clean' look. Why not pop over to the blog and have a go yourself? You could be the winner for this month and be the proud new owner of some fabby Splodgeaway goodies. Good Luck ! xxxxx
